FIRST FEDERAL LAWSUIT FILED ON CHATTANOOGA SCHOOL BUS TRAGEDY

Attorneys for two of the surviving victims and their families involved in the Chattanooga school bus tragedy have filed the incident’s first federal lawsuit. Hamilton County Schools, School Transportation Director Benjamin Coulter and Durham School Service are all named in the suit which states that the defendents were all “deliberately indifferent” to the bus driver’s violations. Johnthony Walker, who was employed to drive the bus by Durham, is charged with six counts of vehicular homicide. Several other students were also injured in the crash.
