13-YEAR-OLD IN STABLE CONDITION AFTER STRUCK BY SCHOOL BUS IN KNOXVILLE

A 13-year-old girl is said to be in stable condition after she was struck by a school bus Thursday morning in Knoxville. Police say that the accident happened close to 7 AM at the intersection of Breda Dr. and The Hauge. According to preliminary reports, the teen was walking in the bus number 48’s lane of travel. When the bus driver, 72-year-old William Carver Jr. tried to miss the girl, the vehicle’s mirror clipped her. There were 27 students on the bus and no other injuries were noted. Police say that no charges will be filed.
