It is going to be a weekend off of wild weather across our area. Windy with showers likely, some could be Heavy and a few thundershowers are possible and that is going to be the story right on through Saturday night. South Winds will gust to 40 miles per hour occasionally . Around daylight Sunday morning a strong cold front will drop the temperature drastically and that will change the precipitation over to light sleet and Light freezing rain and eventually light snow and there could be enough for slick roads to develop on the plateau. Temperatures will hover around 32 to 35 degrees Sunday and drop to near 20 Sunday night. Stay tuned to our stations throughout the weekend as I keep you updated on this wicked weather system affecting a large part of the nation. In Chicago on Sunday for the Bears and Packers football game, a game time temperature of the 0 as expected with a wind chill of 30 below making it one of the coldest NFL games on record, how would you like to sit out in that for 3 hours? The national high temperature on Friday was 86 at Fort Stockton Texas and the low was 36 below at Mount Washington New Hampshire.
