SMITHVILLE, TN (WSMV) –
Three people were killed in a weekend house fire in Smithville.
A neighbor stepped up to try and get some of the victims out of the burning home on Short Mountain Highway on Sunday.
By the time firefighters arrived to help, it was too late for two people. A man and a woman died at the scene.
A 4-year-old boy was so badly hurt that he died at a hospital from his injuries.
