The Tennessee Highway Patrol is set to begin their annual initiative for the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend. It’s the “I-40 Challenge Drive to Zero fatalities.” If you’re traveling on Interstate 40 this holiday weekend, be prepared to see an elevated presence of Troopers. Beginning Wednesday morning at 10 AM, Troopers will be assigned every 20 miles along the length of the roadway. The initiative will remain in effect through Sunday night at Midnight. Last year, eight people were killed in crashes over the same holiday period.
