KNOXVILLE (WATE) – More than 100,000 people will pack into Neyland Stadium Saturday to see the No. 9 ranked UT Vols play No. 1 ranked Alabama, but if you don’t already have your ticket, you’re going to have to shell out some serious cash to get your seat.
As of Tuesday, on StubHub, the cheapest ticket is $194. It’s only one ticket in Section HH in the corner. If you want to sit with a friend in the lower level, each ticket in Corner Z will cost you $275. There’s an even lower level single ticket being sold in Section U, but the ticket owner is asking for $1,400. A little more than 1,300 tickets are being sold on StubHub.
Those prices are in compared to face value of $40 to $70. Tickets to the Alabama game are officially sold out. On eBay, we found four tickets being sold, with face values of $70 each. The starting bid is $750. We also took a look at Craigslist where we found tickets in Section PP for $300 each. Many people are willing to shell out the big bucks for a seat in the stadium on Saturday, but thousands of others will just have to cheer on the Vols from the comfort of their couches.
Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The game will air on CBS.
