Members of the Tennessee General Assembly honored fallen Maryville Police Officer Kenny Moats Wednesday during the final day of a special legislative session. Lawmakers were in session to change an underage drinking law which violated federal standards, but also took a moment to honor Moats and other officers who lost their lives serving their state. Officer Moats was shot and killed while responding to a domestic violence call last month. He was awarded the Medal of Valor posthumously.
