UT FALLS TO #17 AS “BATTLE IN BRISTOL” LOOMS AHEAD

The UT Vols squeaked by Appalachian State in last Thursday’s season opener 20-13. Many are calling the victory an “ugly win.” It was enough to plunge the Big Orange from 9th place in the AP Top 25 to #17 this week. Next up for Tennessee is the huge “Battle in Bristol” which pits them against Virginia Tech on Saturday, Sept. 10. The game will be held at Bristol Motor Speedway with an expected attendance of over 150,000.
