On Wednesday August 24, 2016, deputies and investigators with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, TBI HIDTA Middle Tennessee Drug Task Force, Officers with the Crossville Police Department and the 13th District Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence located at 347 River Road in Cumberland County.

The search warrant stemmed from a lengthy investigation into the Sale and Delivery of Schedule II drugs after the Sheriff’s Office received citizen complaints about drugs being sold from the residence. Carl Thomas Duer, Jr., age 50 and Vickie Roseann Duer, age 50, had been the target of the narcotics investigation where large amounts of methamphetamine ICE was being sold from their home.

During a search of the residence, officers and agents recovered 31 firearms, three of which had been reported stolen, more than $9,000.00 dollars of U.S. Currency and seized two vehicles.
The investigation into the case continues and an indictment against Carl Thomas Duer Jr. and Vickie Roseann Duer will be sought as the case will be presented to the Cumberland County Grand Jury at a future date.

“We are aggressively seeking out the individuals that are distributing the death and destruction in the form of illegal drugs within our community. Through the partnerships and hard work by the law enforcement agencies involved we are making an impact on the illegal drug distribution within Cumberland County, Crossville, and the Upper Cumberland area.”
